The exams to pass the NDA are not easy it requires a practice and dedication to join and continue with these services. However, there are many training centers providing NDA Coaching with the help of experienced & retired defense personals such as Retired Generals, Chief Commanders and Brigadiers. CDS which is known as combined defense service is the combined exam of conducted by UPSC for all three defense academies including Officers' Training Academy meant for defense & security of India.

Eligibility & Age Criterion for Exams
Candidates looking to join NDA should mentally prepare themselves during their school life because the exam of NDA is conducted for XII class students who are within the age group of 16 and half years to 19 years while CDS exam are conducted for the age group of 19-25 years and both the exams are conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC). To pass these exams successfully candidates should join NDA Coaching or other training centers providing efficient trainings because the processes of selection in these academies are very difficult they provide useful tips & proper trainings.
Exams Patterns & Interview Process
The whole exam is conducted by UPSC which comprise written exam followed by interviews which covers the topics like general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests. Every year incoming classes are accepted two times between July and January. Every year more than 320,000 applicants appear for the written exams and out of this only 9,000 applicants are invited for the face-to-face interview. Therefore, CDS with the help of UPSC conducts a joint exam twice a year in February and November. You are allowed to sit only if you are unmarried and after passing the exams you are invited to admitted into the relevant academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
How to prepare for Exams?
To improve the chances to select in these academies you should join a NDA Coaching timely so that you can get the idea of exams and proper guidance to clear the examinations easily. However, there are few other tips which should be followed while preparing and appearing for the CDS exams. All the candidates should covered all the necessary basics and try to study as far as possible covering every topic. They should take help of their teachers, friends, colleges and people who have been selected earlier. To increase the general awareness they should read news papers, journals and other news magazines providing useful information. Check the latest pattern of exams and syllabus of the exams and if possible solve the previous exams & sample papers to improve the speed and accuracy for the exam.
